Explore Majors
Health Professional Schools do not require a specific major. There is no major that will increase your chances of being accepted, so choose a major that you believe you will enjoy and will excel in. Partner with the Academic Advising Program to explore different majors and develop an educational plan that is meaningful to you. Students should connect with an Academic Advisor for confirmation of graduation requirements, and questions about curriculum, policies, and procedures.
University Career Services
University Career Services offers many resources to help you make the best decisions for yourself and use your strengths to reach your goals. FOCUS 2 is an online career and education planning tool designed to help you make decisions about career goals and education plans.
ExploreHealthCareers.org provides interactive tools to explore health career paths, programs, and funding opportunities. The Occupational Outlook Handbook reports the US Department of Labor’s findings on the duties, education and training, pay, and outlook for healthcare occupations. Schedule an appointment with a career counselor to learn more about career development resources available to you.
Explore Health Careers
The sidebar to your left lists health professions for which we provide advising. Additional health professions and resources for career paths can be found at here and here.
Other Majors and Health Careers, mostly associated with the Medical School, such as Allopathic, Osteopathic, and Podiatric medicine, et cetera, can be found in our “PLAN YOUR PATH” section.
